DIVERSITY | COMMUNITY
PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION
Our members embody the vibrant diversity that shapes our community, and our mission is to help them find balance amid life’s challenges and disparities. Much like the centering practice of rainbow breathing, Brother Be Well blends cultural experiences and perspectives into a harmonious whole, creating space for healing and growth. At its core, the program celebrates brotherhood, valuing lived experiences, shared stories, and collective strength. Brother Be Well is more than a platform; it’s a community where learning and growth thrive, where behavioral health is approached with resilience, and where individuals discover empowering ways to care for themselves and one another.
OBJECTIVES
To provide a safe, supported platform where males of color normalize conversations about behavioral health.
Reframing concepts to emphasize behavioral health strategies that promote prevention and resilience as complements to treatment and services.
Expanding approaches to address community conditions that influence behavioral health and wellbeing in addition to those focusing on individuals.
Integration of culture-informed strategies that meet men and boys where they are, and that recognize and embrace a broad range of positive qualities.
Integration of technology, new media, and innovation to advance wellness, and for exposure to creative prevention and early intervention strategies.
